Since early 2000 I've been creating short scifi comix.
Influenced by the phenomenal Jean 'Moebius' Giraud, these initially began with a character, the Oneironaut (oh-Nero-naut), that explores surreal environments, inspired by my dreams. Over time the character has morphed from male to female and the stories have evolved into much longer narratives.
Later another character, The Thing From There, was introduced to narrate autobiographical tales.
Many of these were published in various underground anthology comix, spearheaded by my friend Moray Rhoda, with whom I've collaborated with on a number of projects. The most notable of these publications was the Velocity Graphic Anthology in the 2010s, a collaborative project between South African and Australian artists and writers.
For these anthologies, I collaborated with writer friends, Grant Muller, Amanda Cooper, Jayson Geland and Frankie Murrey on a number of short comix.
